getting Code 16 - Coolant temperature Sensor voltage unstable

dont know if its related but she rough's on idle as well after a bit.... how to go about checking up and fixing?

You can remove it and test in hot water but it's a bit of a hassle. I'd check the connectors to the sensor first, then remove the engine fuse for 30 secs to reset the fault codes then check again. If it persists replace the sensor. It will cause the engine to run either rich or lean depending on which way it failed.

anyone done a guide on how to fix this or had much experience? i cant find much around.... i havnt replaced a sensor or anything like this so wouldnt know where to begin

Just reset the fault codes as in previous post and see what happens as this may clear up your problem as this procedure als0 resets the ECU - otherwise do a search on this forum for "coolant sensor" and you'll find plenty of posts..
