Hi all,

I probably shouldnt be writing this here, as its not for a commodore, but everyone has been helpful with the commodore stuff I ask, I figured I'd try.

Anyways, my old man has given me an old jeep cherokee. And I am trying to hook up keyless entry. Regardless of the car, I thought maybe it might be the same on most models.

Ive tried what the manual says, but all I get is a click from the actuators, small movement, but not lock and unlock - and the wires get really hot.
The entry system is a Warlock, purchased from JB. WG400 or something like that.
The Jeep has central locking, although I am not sure if its a master/slave setup. I unlock with the key, but it only unlocks that door, once I'm in - I have to use to switch on the drivers door to unlock all the other doors.

Behind that switch on the door is lots of wires for power windows & the locking, and that is where I am wiring the system from. Should I be under the dash? Or as long as there is power I should be right?
These old Jeeps when imported used a whole bunch of GM parts when getting converted. I have never owned an 80's model Commo or Falcon, but its probably built with a bit of both in it.

I think I have covered most of it without losing it, but have posted in other forums to no avail. Below is a link to a forum that has wiring colours and what not.

Any help would be great. Apologies to the moderators if I'm in the wrong place.
