vr gearbox vp dose it go

been searching to get new gearbox for vr auto but keep find every where vn vp vr i already have a vp vn gearboxs will it go in

Physically it will fit but the VR gearbox is electronically controlled where as the VN/VP gear box is purely mechanical.
It may be possible to convert to the VN/VP box but I have not done it myself.

so the vr doesn't run a kickdown cable? i thought it would, isn't it a t700?

nah, the VR is the first of the 4L60E's and from what I have been told different year models of the VR have a different gearbox connector.
I do not know what year gearboxes would suit as I haven't had to go down that path yet.
