oil and water yeah im trying to figure it out i joined this sight 1 because i love commodores and i need help figuring out whats wrong with it
Does it run fine?
93 VP Ute, V6 5 Speed
yeah she runs pretty decent shes just a bit sluggish when u start her up
just to clarify, the water leaving the exhaust is green?
nah its just normal water
It's very normal for water to exit the exhaust aaron, it's prolly condensation the same that happens on ur bathroom mirror after a shower. Remedy is to give her a long drive enough to evaporate all the water inside. I doubt also oil would make it to the exhaust tip.. is it a powdery black/grey substance?
Is your coolant green?
93 VP Ute, V6 5 Speed
i dont know ill post a picture now of what it looks like
i havent put coolant in it before ive just put water in it
thats what is coming out of the exhaust some of its dried up some of its still wet
It's a good thing you joined us then hehe
pretty bad ay?
yeah no doubt about that
was all that just from your exhaust???
93 VP Ute, V6 5 Speed
the dry bits are from earlier that day and the wet one is from just after giving it a couple of little rev's up to about 3 nd a half grand
will it always come out until you turn the car off? or will it stop eventually if you leave it running?
93 VP Ute, V6 5 Speed
it only does it when its parked and revved a lil bit but if u leave it nothing comes out
If you start her everyday and just sit there reving or in idle your exhaust won't become hot enough to evaporate the condensation... and because it ain't hot enough it's gonna condense the air to water yet again.. thus, you'll be increasing the amount of water in your exhaust on every start - unless you get the exhaust hot enough (long drive) to evaporate the stuff it'll just sit in there.
good point bro. but the only thing is my mum hasent taken me to get my L's yet and i need to get the car road worthy checked nd registerd wich will probs cost like 500$ or so and my mum wont help at all even thoe her piece of shit ford wont even drive like it starts lmfao but when u put it in drive it will not go lol
Yeah if it's driving fine, id say its pretty normal. just keep checking your oil and coolant levels![]()

yeah the oil is a bit low at the moment so ill buy some more and get some coolant
