Will it fit? Need to throw one on there for a decibel level test for an EPA notice. Sure, it will drive like shit, but will the V6 exhaust fit provided it's off a VS IRS V6? And chances are, will it pass?

Found this thread, but no definite answers. You would think that the cat back would be the same.
keep 2.5" v6 zorst when i go to v8?
Of course it will fit a VS is a VS they are all the same
On series II and '96 update VS's at least the V8 and V6 systems are different; dual intermediate mufflers on V8 vs single on V6 and the cats are in different places. = no fit.
All good, i found a stocko VS V8 exhaust complete with all mufflers for $100. Any ideas what a rough decibel level would be on a stock VS V8 exhaust?

Yeah the bloke reckons it's all in good nick, just a bit dirty. I'm keeping this as an investment for the future, just in case![]()

Cut a bit out in the straight bit between the flange and the first muffler. Does it have two front mufflers?
It's got the centre muffler and rear resi......
Lined it up against my 3" exhaust that's on the car, i know it's a VERY rough guide, but it seems to be almost EXACTLY the same length as the current one that's on there.

i was fooled by that as well. bolted it up and was way off. had to extend the rear pipe out the back a bit as well

Hmmm, there is a fair bit of pipe coming out of the resi (the tip), would it work just cutting heaps of that off once bolted up? Or does some NEED to be cut out further back as well?

If not, i'll run it down to HP and get Barney to stuff around with it a bit.
