hey guys i got my car lowered with superlow springs in the front and ultra's in the rear about a month ago. A rattle has developed in the right rear wheel when i go over bumps and turn left. The rattle pretty much sounds like ive got a slab of VB stubbies rolling around in my boot. I have taken off the wheel but i dont know what im looking for to see whats wrong. Any ideas?
hay mate first there is no such thing as super low or ultra low
i work at pedders and when ppl talk like that we just say how low do you want to go (in inches)
rattel maby a lot of things maby springs aint traped so need lowerd shocks
or could be wheel bearing
maby who ever installed them left one of the shocks lose
if you got kingys in the back they are hard to trap if there is bumstops. kingys may need all the bumstop taken out that ****s your shocks
what sort of commy is it if it has irs for $1800 you can get pedders coilovers with adj damper and hight
it says ultra lows and superlows on the boxes so thats what i call them
it was professionly lowered and the spring seem to be in place fine.
What is the wheel bearing and would this be because of it being lowered, there was no rattle before it was lowered.
I do have king springs and i dont know what bumpstops are sorry, im sure the guy who lowered it would have told me if there was going to be a problem putting those springs in it.
It is a 97 vs commodore live axle and i dont think ill be paying nearly 2K for those things seeings tho i spent 600 getting it lowered.
Thanks for your help
took it to a mechanic and it turns out it was just the exhaust rubbing on the tailshaft...
