    Default VS Trans cooler

Just bought a VS V6 and will be using it for towing a 14 foot boat. Someone said it's a good idea to have a trans cooler on these boxes. What are the pbr ones on ebay like? does any have any suggestions for me .
    Thanks.

bout 300k there 300 back so 600km in a day with a rest after 300

but changeing the filter and fluid helps alot to but cooler is way to go it helps cooling in two ways it radiates heat out of the box and increases the oil volume

in an engine oil volume is desireable

VS series 2's came fitted with a cooler as std but they also had screwed fittings, I think the series 1 vs has push on fittings same as VN-VR.
Try the Holden max towing pack cooler, don't know if available still but when I bought mine years back was cheaper than PWR and Borg warner models of similar size.
I used the large one for my auto and used the small VN-VR cooler for my power steer cooler.

Id keep the auto serviced regularly, filter etc as well as a good cooler. It should help to make it last. Its somthing people forget about until they notice somthing wrong with it.A mate tows a work trailer around with his VS ute,its fairly heavy and hes had a good run out of the trans ,he just keeps it serviced etc.
