Hi Guys,
Hopefully i am not double posting (and if i am please correct me)
My question is:
I have a 1996 VS Exec running a 3.8 V6 Auto and I am wanting to put a V8 in it.
I am wondering, what engine can i put in it without modifing the engine mounts (i understand i will need to modify the tran mounts)
Or is it easier just to look for a VS V8 and drop that in there?
Cheers
Jaymz
p.s. this is a big learning curve for me, so be kind :P
you want too know whether too convert your v6 too a v8 or too buy another v8 and convert that too a v8?
gimme a bit ill do some research and get back to you.
But if the engine is out of the car, why not just change the engine mounts wheny ou have the opportunity. If you are limiting what engine you can put in because you don't want to change/modify the mounts, maybe you should reconsider the whole idea..
For a car that old and not that rare I'd say can the whole idea if you want a V8 go buy one it will be cheaper and alot less of a headache!
If you want a V8 it's a K-frame change not engine mounts.
