VS Commodore brake problem, Need Help

Hey guys

My dad has a 1996 S2 VS Commodore and since he bought it a few months back

The brake pedal has no pressure until you pump the brakes up, and when you hit the brakes while driving it does pull up however always graps at different points sometimes just off the floor and sometimes near the top if you keep pumping it, also while sitting at the lights stopped the pedal keeps going back down to the floor but the brakes still hold, We have bleed the system but it is still the same.

And there are no leaks near master cylinder, what could the problem be?

sounds like your master cylinder or booster are cactus. Check the vacuum hose on the booster.
There are a few tests listed in gregories too, just get any gregories you can find and read the but about checking those parts.

deffinatly master cylinder seal...

your better off buying a new one complete than messing around with re-sealing the old one, being aluminum theres little point

Thats interesting mine does the same thing but only every now and again so maybe mines on its way out, still passes rego though so cant be to bad.
