VS Airbag steering wheel puzle

Hi guys,

If anyone could tell me will a VS commodore Airbag steering wheel bolt onto the spline of were a Non airbag steering wheel was.
If so does the drivers side airbag unit unscreew and come off as one piece conected to the horn pad so that the steering wheel is left. Or is the airbag unit conected to the steering wheel itself.
I want to know if the airbag unit can be thrown away and the steering wheel used by itself as a Non Airbag wheel to use in my ute.

If any of that makes any sence.

The splines on the shaft are the same regardless of whether an air bag is fitted or not.

To remove the air bag from the steering wheel you will need to remove the air bag fuse and then remove the torx bolts at the rear of the air bag. Then you will have to disconnect the wiring before taking out the air bag assembly.
