    Default VS Statesman.. Series?

    I'm Michael, I'm 17 and I just bought a 1996 VS Statesman V6 3.8L
I feel like the biggest idiot asking this, but anyway..
Just wondering if someone could help me out with determining what series it is.
The dealership(holden dealership) called it a VS, not specifying the series number in any of the documents
Because of that i assumed it was a S1, i was a bit confused because it looks like a S2 to me

I haven't picked it up yet (get it on monday), but i ran the VIN online and it said it was invalid, and also does not match up to the starting VIN of any of the statesman models.

    It has these optional features:
    Leather interior
    Electric Sunroof
    Electric front seats

According to Redbook.com, the electric sunroof is not an option for any '96 statesman model :S

    Heres some pictures
And also i always thought that the rear garnish in the picture was the S2 one?
I think its a S2... is it possible the holden dealership got it wrong?

I'm not sure how to tell the different by the looks, but 96 is a series 2.

Don't worry about the options thing, red book is ****in useless, and i wouldn't even use it to get pics, let alone factual information.

I would be looking into why the VIN came up as invalid. Check you had the right VIN if so I would be thinking repaired write off or rebirthed. If you cant get the VIN checked as being legit don't touch it! Ask more questions as to the cars origion, has it got the origional service book ?
