VY mirrors onto VR - proactive answers wanted :)

I'm looking for a way to get some VY style side mirrors onto a mate's VR. Rather than just saying 'it can't be done', I'd like some productive input from people who have done similar before, or even just have good ideas

fibreglass?

got pics of both? more so the mounting points then anything, the shape of the mounting points will be slightly different as well as the size, might require some trimming, then finish it off with fibreglass and allot of prep. paint it up, etc :P

Don't want to use fibreglass if we can help it, that stuff always goes to crap over time. Would rather use plastic welding or something to get the shape right.
