    Default Cabin Fan Question

Some of you may have seen my thread about dust getting into the cab, well the problem has'nt got any better and im starting to think there may be some sort of filter in there somewhere that may be full of dust, i would like to be able to take those black covers off to have a look under it, but i cant figure out how to take them off.

Here is a picture to show you what i mean.

Anyone know how to take these covers off?

First peel that rubber strip that runs across the length of the firewall off. There's nothing holding it on, just peel it off.

Second, undo your wiper arms, but before you do this, mark where they sit on the windscreen with bits of masking tape or whatever so that you know where they sit when you go to put them back on.

After that, it should just come out. Well, that's all I remember having to do when I took mine off, but it was a while ago.

It will come out as a single piece, so be careful about how you maneuver it.

There is no filter on the air entering the cabin. From memory, the utes have a problem with dust entering somewhere behind the seat.

Thanks boys, i got the cover off, it was quite simple really, thanks for the instructions RJK, its a flimsy little cover isn't it, feels like it would break fairly easy. There was a heap of dirt and old leaves under the cover so i cleaned all that out, it probably wont make any difference to my dust problem but it needed cleaning anyway.

    Cheers
