    Default Two questions

    1. Do i have to take off the door trim to replace the door speakers and also is it difficult to replace the speakers?

    2. I have recently bought a new cluster face alot like this.

    _trksidZp4340.m444QQhttp://cgi.ebay.com.au/Holden-Commodore-VN-VP-VR-VS-Level-1-WHITE-FACE-GAUGES_W0QQitemZ320388648532QQihZ011QQcategoryZ677 5QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DCRX%26its%3DC%25 2BS%26itu%3DSI%252BUA%252BLM%252BLA%26otn%3D5%26ps %3D63 _

Q1: No the door trim can stay on. Just un-screw map pocket or pop the speaker cover off with a screw driver.

Q2: To change the gauge face you need to take the cluster out, start by removing two screws in the top of the dash plactic thingy just in front of ur cluster. Once screws are out, enjoy pulling out that plastic on the front of the dash. Its now held in by clips all around it,watch for the wiring for the hazards, dimister, lights etc, unplug when you get the chance. Once thats done you'll see two more screws, one each side of the cluster, remove them. Next move steering down and towards your seat and lock it. Now gently remove cluster out. Should come out fairly easy, may need the odd wiggle.
Once out,i think the plastic face on the cluster is held on by clips. Next remove needles but just pulling. Next is unscrew black gauges. Re do in reverse and ur done. I think that covered it,if not check how-to section

The only way i could do it was to take off the trim, the map pocket can only be unscrewed from the back of the door trim once its off, also the speaker cover is likely to break if you just pop it off with the screwdriver.
Heres some links for some "how to's" to get your door trim off that i found helpful.

With my VR's door, it definitely had to have the trim removed, the speaker "cover" is connected to it.

I've had 2 VS's and I got a VR now and with all of them i had to remove the door trims, like whats been said they break easily. also depending on what speekers you put in u may have to trim the original pod that the speekers sit in as many have a magnet that simply doesnt fit in.
    good luck with it mate
