hey, im considering buying either VE SS wheels or SSV 19s and i was wonderin wat i have to do to make em fit?
thanks.
They need to be machined. I'm not sure on what sizing etc. though sorry.
To make a VE wheel fit a earlier model commodore you need to machine the centre hub of the wheel and fit the correct wheel studs to your axles. The smaller studs of the older axles do not seat the nut properly on the wheel and could cause wheel failure down the track. (Unlikely in the short term but highly likely the longer it is left that way.)
Reaper
the centre bore needs to be machined to 69.5 from the VE 66.9 and as reaper said new studs or get the wheels sleeved for 12mm studs from the VE 14mm.
thanks, reaper where would i get that done at?
what about 16'' ve interceptors to fit vp ??? is the process the same???
I'm sure there making wheel nuts to fit VE wheels on older commodores to prevent changing studs. My cousin got VE gts wheels on his vt, Can't see the difference apart from the hub OD
