    Default Installing a line locker

    Looking at installing a line locker on a burnout car for me and my mates. Its a VS we picked up for 250 unlic, What needs to be done? I was looking at THIS kit.

    mmm i just put one in mine loves it at speed gettin them goin.. umm get ya self down to repco or bursons an get the right fittings youll need male an female ones will make sense when ya lookin at it. has to be put in backwards else it will lock brakes on have fun an enjoy.. oh put some thread tape in the fittings all so else they will leak like mine did

    nah, use brake line locker or small vice grip on the rear hose if u have live beam axles.. . will be work thats way!!! .. save some ur cost to buy this ...

    And after 3 times of using vice grips, your brake lines will be worn and leak. Great idea.....

    yea .. or unscrew the pipe nut and put two bolts on the each side .. like u blocked one of hole on 1inch bore brake master

    Or, you just install a line locker kit (like the thread is about) and just flick a switch.

    no brakes pads :O omgwtffullysickburnoutsnobrakesahhhhhhhhhh.
    selling vp calais wheels with 97% rubber hardly used!

    You know what, that's true if this is going to be a burnout car. Then why the hell do you need back brakes? Take them off completely. I mean you won't need to use the car on the road so why not.

    the line locker kit on ebay, do you need to install one on both the back wheels or can you jsut buy the kit and its all you need?

    You only need one to do both the rear brakes. You install it either at the diff before the line splits in two, or at the master cylinder. You have to do it opposite to what the instructions say or else when you flick the switch your rear brakes will be locked ON, whereas you want them locked OFF for skids

    Oh and it just so happens that I have a NEW B&M line locker for sale right now on ebay

    I can do that without a linelocker i thought it for more on less to lock the front brakes on

    Theres 2 uses. Most people here would use the setup where the back brakes can be switched off.
    You can't do that from in the cabin on a switch without a line locker
