why bother getting a new one tho? just grab one from the wreckers and give it a clean with some silvo and put it in. Look like brand new anyway and less than half the price.
Got one from the wreckers for $5. Was miles better than the old one I had.
If you really want a new one, go to the parts desk at a Holden dealer and just start describing where and what it is. Their parts program has an exploded view of all of the parts on the car. It would be much easier just getting one of a wrecked car though.
hmm ok,
i just dont want the same problem that the one i have has..
and theres no wreckers in my town
Just bung in a new one. Not that expensive.
I put a new one in my VS at about 225,000 km and after another 120,000 km, it is soon to get another one. They lose a bit of tension over time and they wear through where the bonnet spring/bolt thingy pulls it up against the slot that it sits in on the back side of the hole in the radiator support panel when the bonnet is closed. Have a close look at the spring where it goes into the slot.
Part number is 92044669 and it should cost you about $5 from any dealer.
Whoever said 'There is no substitute for cubes' had obviously never heard of Jet power
