Default VR or VS utes?? is there much difference??

    Hey everyone

i'm a noob here, first post, sorry if this has been asked before

just sold my wrx, got bored of the 4wd, weak gearbox and no power below 3000 rpm and was looking at getting into a VR or VS v8 ute... hopefully soon

is there any major differences between an early model VR say and a late model VS?

is there any common problems you get in these models?

    Cheers!!

Not really much of a difference between the VR and VS V8, they both have the aussie 5.0L. Although the fun doesnt begin until after 3000rpm either :P

They dont have any more problems than say your standard car, and it all depends on how well the car you bought was treated previously. The V8's dont forgive late oil changes.

spend the little extra and buy a vu mate. $15,000 gets you a 6spd 5.7L vu. Think about it.

I wish a VU, unfortunately i have a 7k budget which i'm going to be struggling with to find a 1/2 decent VR or VS v8... if i had 10-12k budget, i'd save the extra for sure

i'm not to fussed about being the fastest kid on the block, just after a cruzy w/ender with a bit of power when necessary

one of me mates reckons the VR 6cyl ute is just as good as the VR 8 and spending the extra is a waste... any thoughts there??

That's like saying Barbra Streisand is just as good as Jessica Alba...
