i have a 97 5speed manual vs ute but its a single spinner at the moment
i have organised with a guy to put the 3.7's in but was jst wondering what you guys think..good upgrade?i have all the other upgrades like ectractors, high flow cat, exhaust, filter..let me know cheers...
not a great idea unless you either have a second car,6 speed manual or money to burn. Reason being your car will rev much higher at speed,a 3:46 diff will still chew a bit more fuel yet give you a faster take off. If you dont go over 80k's a 3:7 diff could be ok. Basicly if you dont mind a higher fuel cost for a much faster take off,its good. Not being a LSD may prove a problem with un provoked wheel spin a lot
WTB:VR/S HSV 250km/h speedo cluster
I have 3.7's and LSD in my VS Calais with a supercharged V6.
Best thing i ever done, most performance from any mod ive ever done.
Mine is auto though so rpm at 100km/h went from 1750 to 2100 which is nothing in my opinion. In a manual however it will be roughly 2500rpm at 100km/h
