It'll be the biggest waste of money you ever do in your life (just a warning)
Actually, no it wouldnt. What he spent on making that 6 go that fast, he could have halved, and got the same power out of an 8.
So yes, unless you have some sort of fatal sexual attraction to a 6 cylinder that can justify the extra $$$ spend, it is very much so money wasted.
Tarks tuff 6 is also a VT ecotec, not a VR buick.
Stroker V6's aren't really different, there are a heap of them out there, but just alot less than 304's, LS1's etc.

for the cost of a 4.2 stroker kit, you could buy 1 or even 2 304s... which would rip a (non blown) 4.2 stroker to shit stock standard. but if you like wasting money:
The point is he would still be running almost the same power on the standard crank for 5 grand less, not to mention twice the power starting from a better engine in the first place. Going from 3.8 to 4.2 makes stuff all differece on the V6 because to go fast you still have to run boost into it regardless since it's a useless engine NA
HAHA, well technically if you think about it getting any sort of extra power out of a car is wasting money when you could just sell it and put more money towards something better.
_ALLWAYS_ start with the best base engine you can affordsince a stroked V6 is going to cost you more than a 304 or even a LS1 there is never a case where it's a good buy
I'm kicking myself NOW that i didn't start with an LS1, due to my ignorance (and the fact i like the sound of a 304 better, but now i am over the sound of engines) i bought a 304, wish i had of purchased an LS1.
Now i'm over it altogether more or less lol. Wouldn't mind buying an RX7 Series 5 now thoughRotary engines FTW!

DontBeShy.. i heard off the Pro-stroke family (LOL) that Ricky (Clint, the owner's son) got his VS Stato (3.8L V6) into the 13 second mark at the drags in Heathcote the other week. Just for ur information![]()
well to those who say its a waste of money im on red P's and connot drive a 5.0l so stroking my 3.8litre engine is the only way i kan think of getting more power without the ***n police ***n hastling me all the time for driving a v8
So why wouldn't you just wait for a little bit, then with the cash you have saved, buy a V8?
Then once you have finally had it stroked etc, you will get bored of it and nearly be off your P's. That's just my opinion anyway. You build a V6 stroker, you will wanna drive it hard somewhat, i'd be more worried about the Police pulling you over for speeding or driving hard. A stroked V6 has a different note to a stock V6 obviously, they might think something is up.
