No reverse

Guys I need a little help my vr tranny have no reverse gear but before it stopped working the tranny was taking time to shift into reverse. does any one whats the casuse and how to diagnose it?

Doesn't sound too good - but first check for error codes although usually if the auto goes bad you will get a warning light.Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)
Also I'd check fluid level.

Fluid level is fine as i can see there is no leak but i check the error codes. thx

When selecting first gear manually does the car still have drive,does it make any noises in any gear?

All the other gears fine juz the reverse gear started to make noise then totally stop working

If it made a noise and you have no reverse then it's likely the sunshell has fractured. Unfortunately this is terminal. Hopefully I'm wrong.
