Hand Brake Button Popped Out?

Hey all.

I bought a VS Ute the other day, the only problem with it was that the hand brake button has been popped out and the previous owner didn't bother putting it back in. Its currently stuck up around 2 inches and I cannot put it up or put it down.

I was just wondering if anyone knows how to put the hand brake button back in. I have the spring and button, not sure how it goes on though?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

mine popped out years ago also. I threw the spring away and just put the button back on. It seems to work fine like that. I think you just push it back on the metal rod. You can also buy new buttons for a few bucks from holden if you are really worried.

Ah K, thanks heaps mate, will give it a go tomorrow and see how it goes, I can't remember seeing a metal rod when I had a quick geeze at it before, will have to look properly tomorrow lol.
