Noticing an odd noise tonight. While driving along, with the drivers window down, im hearing a constant clicking noise coming from under the car i believe. it gets faster as the car goes faster, and i cant really hear it with the window up. possibly coming from the rear? its not engine/exhaust related because it makes the same noise with the engine off. im thinking driveshafts possibly? i checked them and tightened all the bolts but made no difference. its for an IRS VR

Maby there is something wedged in one of the tyre treads, has happened to me several times.
I also can remember the time someone played a joke on me when they attached a plastic tie to my tailshaft and it made a worrying clicking noise as the car accelerated, i had just put a transco in the auto several days earlier and i was worried, mind you i did pay the joker back for his trouble.![]()
I AM. Out of my mind .... .... ....
+1 for check your tyres. ive got a screw in mine atm, and i can hear it with the windows up and the music on.
Does the noise get faster with the engine speed or the road speed?

Also had a clicking noise which was attributed to busted CV joint in the stub axle, but cant remember if your car will be IRS or Live Axle?
