Ls1 into a Vs
My mates looking at putting a gen3 into a vs commie, just need some info on it, as in what k frame, electrical etc...
Also he wants a manuel in it, so does the 6 speed fit under the car, or they are bigger then the t5.
Any tuts on doing it? Little bit in the dark atm.

Man, LS1 and a VS is a dream combination. Say you would need a new K frame, Wiring, Radiator and I'm sure there is plenty more.

I hear the best people to speak to is castlemaine rod shop in melbourne as they have everything you need for the conversion mounts k frame etc.. (your in qld) as for the T56 the VS GTS and GTS/R had them so its a bolt on affair I believe, is the car a 5 litre or V6? as a origanily V8 will be much easier with some things that can remain like the radiator.

T56 is bigger im told but fit without a problem.

they have everything you need all you need is there custom engine mounts special bellhousing and starter motor as it has to be moved to the other side of the engine to clear steering rack and i think you just need another custom mount to mount the gearbox on the crossmember
