Ok Holden Experts some advice please.
I recently inherited a VR Exec Ex-Taxi Dual Fuel. Prob got 750K on the clock. Have to check on that as the Odo has about 240k on it. Was replaced about 10k ago I think.
I am going over it end to end with a mate next weekend and wanted to see what I should be looking at.
The Engine light is on and I have checked the codes and this is what I have.
Code 13 - Oxygen Sensor (O2) - No Signal
Code 45 - Oxygen Sensor Rich (O2)
Code 68 - Transmission Component Slipping - Auto Transmission Only
Code 73 - Pressure Control Solenoid Current - Auto Transmission Only
Code 12 - System Pass (OK)
Car does not run on Petrol at the moment. Will check Fuel Lines, Filter, Pump Injector's etc.
Runs fine on Gas. Except the occasional Backfire.
Auto isn't the best on the gear changes but that hopefully will be improved with the Oil and Filter change etc.
TCC Symptom seems to be in car... when going over 85kms/hour get a vibration when it drops the rev's and I try and accelerate around the 1800-2200 revs.
Drop down to 3rd or Accelerate harder and the vibration noise goes away. From reading the Forums I am guessing the TCC solenoid is shot... but is that what the 68/73 error codes mean or am I due for a new transmission?
I will be doing the Oil/Filter Changes and fixing up some rust in the boot. Then checking the Error codes again...
But can one of you tell me what Solenoids I need to change while I am under the car doing the Gearbox kit?
