Front Spring Issue?

Hey guys, im pretty much car illiterate so please excuse my poor explanation. My VS has been making a 'Rubbing' noise lately and it seemed to sound louder today so i had a look at it, everytime I turn my wheel to a hard lock position it appears that the drivers side front spring is making the sound. One of the coils about half way down isnt moving in sync with the other coils and the 'rubbing' sound is the coil gettting stuck. Any ideas what this problem is or what I can do to resolve it?

I recently had a similar dilema from the front left making noises when turning left or right ,ended up whith my left top shock mount bushing busting through the top mount rubber hitting the bonnet and leaving a in- print (dent)in the bonnet ,also had the same noise when i put in a sway bar link pin kit put in that wasn,t done up tight enough.so i got new top shock mount kit with bearings and since then all has been good.i dont know much about commodores,other people on here might have some better input for you.
