    Default Getting a Tune?

    Hey,
I am after getting tune on my V6 Manual VS commodore Ute, i have heard foamy does a really good job, so i have PM'd him but never heard a response back, I was just going to purchase a chip of his from ebay, but thought i should ask here to make sure its what i want first..

Its a standard V6 Ecotec, just with a CAI and cat back exhaust, is it worth getting a tune done to it, or is it only really worth getting a tune if it had extractors or bigger cam etc?

Also if i decided to get some pacemakers would i need to get it re-tuned, or does'nt bolt on mods need a tune?

    Thanks

you can get a tune but on a stock motor wont see huge gains, dont bother with cams and nah if u got packemakers u dont need a retune

bolt on mods genrally dont need a tune

If i can find a second hand set of extractors to fit a V6 VS then i will get them first, but it seems nealy impossible to find a set of second hand ones..

hey mate i have a VS V6 Sedan with the exact same mods as you and i just bought a tune from delcowizzid on here.

if you want a tune either go to delco or to greenfoam. from what i have heard they are very simliar tunes. it's just a matter of being able to contact one of them with who you go with.

mine should arrive next week so i will let you know what it is like.

took my car to off street drags last night and will take it again with the tune installed.
    hoping to beat a 15.86.

PM one of them and see who reply's first.

    good luck!

I can't speak highly enough of the Foam tune I have in mine, but have heard nothing but good things about delco's as well.

Bolt-on mods are fine to put on after the tune as well. It isn't until you go crazy with a big cam or forced induction that you will need another one
