if i was to take the stiring wheel off my VR witch has an air bag to take it off to put sports wheel on there do i hav to set off the air bag thanks

Unless the sports steering wheel has an airbag, which I doubt, then it will be illegal to put it on.

as said,its illegal to replace airbagged steering wheels with a non airbag type,but if you still decide to do it,take out airbag fuse and dis-connect you battery before doing it.

Another(and legal) option,get a calais or stat'o steering wheel and you can put any VS-VX airbag in it. HSV VT/X's had the HSV emblem on the airbag cover

yea i no its illegal but i think so is alot of other stuff that goes on peoples cars just hav to wait to i get a roady and put on road.

its not just illegal for rego....if you remove it and have an accident and it doesnt go off your insurance will wipe you and you'll be left carrying the can....and thats just your insurance....if you dont have any and the other drivers insurance find out about the defect you'll be paying it off the rest of your life lol....better you than me i always say....

instead of going sports steering wheel and screwing yourself over, recover the steering wheel. will cost you but at least you can have it looking different without stuffing you insurance wise!.

no subs are not illegal - 18in chrome rims, there's shedloads mate, however do your research, go to the local tyre places get catalogs decide at home which brand and rim you want, know the rrp and then haggle the local traders, play em off one another and you will be able to get a good deal!

yea thanks but was looking for second hands money reson doesnt matter if has no tyres i can get them cheep no the awner on tyre shop and are all VR's lsd coz i just did burnout when dad went out and its twin spin (lsd). ( im in truble when dad gets home )

lol yea i did one in front yard and it twinned up so i went in drive way and foot on brake twin spinn lol i new b4 i looked coz it just ripped sideways till i took off brake ill see when i take it to drags new years i think i will regret it but im yung and stupid i wouldn't cane it tooooooooo much i see what it will do but i cant do any visible mods to it when coz well i dont hav my L's yet but iv already had 4 cars and dad drag races but yeah you no how the cops are these days

coz i just did burnout when dad went out

you sound like an old mate of mine. crashed 2 cars before he even got his ps by taking them out when his parents weren't home. crashed another 2 in his first year of driving. i don't speak to him any more, and i wouldn't be surprised if he's dead.

you think it's all fun and games but one day someone will get hurt. plenty of people kill their passengers when they crash, yet fail to die themselves. imagine living with that for the rest of your life.

yea you do hav a point i got a plan on driving fast and doing burnout just leave it to the race days and stuff to try keep most of it off the road

i think if i do hav a crash it will slow me down a s**t load coz i was the same on motorbikes it just took me one crash when was by my self and it slowed me down heaps but when i do do silly stuff i take out to back tracks were no one is i do go harder by myself then with people because iv hert a frend b4 on motorbike and i felt so bad it wasnt bad but yea i no were yous are coming from i want a good looking car and all that but as yous all no i cant do any speed mods to my car

No offence but your posts are extremely difficult to read, perhaps you should spend some time learning about grammar. Using commas and full stops (periods) would help a lot.
