I'd be looking for a place that specialises in automatic transmissions, as they will have all the proper gear to actually fully flush the transmission...

For a full flush with new fluid and strainer would cost a little bit, probably around the $250 to $300 mark I'd imagine.

That's a pretty reasonable price... and that was for a full flush? Not just a fluid change (which is only changing the fluid in the pan, not the rest of the system)

Yeah i knew it was going to be pricey, i might just try and ring the tranny places and see whats said, apparently they can use up to 20l of gear box oil or something like that?

Yeah that's right. For a full flush, they actually have the car idling, and they hook the transmission cooling lines up to a machine, which continually flushes new fluid through the system, while the old dirty stuff is pumped out. I guess it would depend on how dirty your transmission fluid is as to how much new fluid is pumped through...

pretty easy if you wanna just do a flush yourself just pull the hoses off the tranny cooler and put one hose into the new oil bottle and the other into your oil waste tray, just watch till you notice the new oil comes out the waste hose. Will be about 10litres i think for a full change.
