    Default Possible Diff Options?

Been trying to source a live axle lsd for a while now and still not much luck.

Pretty much looking at converting my single pegger to a lsd. Ive searched all the forums and such and have come up with a list of options. Just wondering of these options whats the costs involved and best possible choices in terms of driveability and ease. the list is:

    - Changing to an LSD diff centre
    - Trying to find a full live axle LSD and swap them over
    - Mini spool
    - Kaaz 2 way
    - Weld it all up
    - Air locker?

love to hear your choices and inputs.

I thought all VS acclaims came with IRS as standard. Anywho getting a new LSD centre put in is about $1000 all up,depending where you go.
Finding a whole LSD live axel shouldnt be too hard i'd think but still looking at $200-400,give or take some.
Mini spool is cheap but illegal(only if you get caught),not sure on their price.
Kaaz are a really good LSD set up to have, but you pay dearly (im told around $2,000)
Welding it is also cheap and illegal but do it wrong and ur in deep shit. Not ur best option.
Air locker,4WD's often get this done, ive got no idea about it a commodore

yeah sorry my sig is wrong i changed it today, its just a VS executive. Whats involved in swapping out the entire axle assembly, seems to be the cheapest option plus ill still have my original axle if anything goes wrong. Is it a fairly easy job to swap them over?

ebay has the kaaz at about $1300 which isnt tooo bad, still a bit steep for what im looking for.

also with swapping out the diff center can this be a diy job or does it have to be professionally done for balancing purposes or whatever? ive seen a few lsd diff centers selling for 200-400 dollars

ran through that thread a fair bit, it was actually pretty much the basis of my thread. was more curious to see what people think of these set ups in their car. kind of now floating with the idea of changing the diff gears and then throwing a spool in there, ive never driven a spooled car though so im not too sure what its like doing the simple things like parallel parking or turning a corner from a red light.
