my vr shitting engine codes everywhere..

my vr v6, was auto had manual conversion just shat out all thease codes.

and then it wanted to keep going... ??

lots of them codes are for an AUTO TRANNY only. will they allways apprear there ?

i only just read up on how to check my error codes just then, and right now im a bit baffeled.

could this be right ?

someone said remove the 20A fuse near the battery, but there is no 20A fuse, there all 30A.

just dissconnect the battery the auto codes will keep showing up till it has the memcal reprogrammed with them turned off.the auto ecu is most likely behind the funny idle too

allrite, i just rechecked and it came out with.

Code 24 - Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)
Code 31 - Theft Deterrent Signal missing
Code 35 - Idle Speed error
Code 42 - Bypass Circuit fault
Code 45 - Oxygen Sensor Rich (O2)
Code 49 - Cam / Crank Shaft Signal Intermittent

and a heap of engine codes for an AUTOMATIC ONLY. the car was auto and had a manual tranny swap...

what is code 49 ? and how will it effect my car ??

the car needs a service, which will fix code 45, what about code 42.

what is the bypass fault ?? the car did have a manual tranny conversion.

what can the idle speed error be caused by ??

my speed-o and odometer arent working, which explains code 24, does that mean the speed sensor in the gearbox is gone ???

how much work is behind putting in a manual ECU ? to fix the idle probs ??

you need to either repin the ecu plugs to suit or fit a manual engine harness.all the codes can be turned off in the ecu and the speedo can be made to go check out the manual conversion thread it has how to make the speedo work
