hey just got a lpg conversion done to my 1996 vs series 2 acclaim
it was done by specialist it used start up no problems on petrol
but ever since getting lpg it sounds unhealthy when starting and and often i have to press the accelerator to make sure it doesnt turn off
they said my ignition switch is faulty but i said all was fine til they did lpg.
so what could it be and how much roughly am i lookin at getting it fixed.
It's normal mate, car starts rougher on gas when it has the air mixer system, sometimes it will stall and stop and you'll have to restart it when it's cold. Completely normal.
Yeah only when she's cold but. If I have been away for a while I'll kick it over to petrol and start it on petrol, if need be flick back to gas once I'm going.
Important to make sure on dual fuel cars that you regularly use petrol, otherwise the injectors will clog and you won't efficiently/effectively run on petrol anymore.

What a miss leading statement to make !
ok thanks guys also would getting an aftermarket air filter and exhaust system put in affect lpg at all
b4 you turn it of switch to petrol so there is petrol in the fuel lines. Then when you start it up again run it on petrol for about 30 seconds then switch back to gas.
Yeah? ^^^ Why's that? just better for some reason or? Explain?
