hi all im sick of my stock immobiliser i want to bypass it so i dont have to keep pressing key button all the time how can i do this i still want to use key for central locking any help would be great thanks :-)
bump..............
its realy anoying
Nver had to do this in my VS. The key should be programmed to turn it off automatically. Are you sure the key isn't stuffed or just not getting a good connection with the metal ring around the ignition? If you have another key, try that.
Someone else might have had this problem, but thats where i'd start with it.
will clean metal ring not think that would change it couse ive started it with out the metal ring conected many of times
change the battery in ur key, i found in my old car that it was playin up and i had to press the button to unlock and lock a few times then the car would turn on, but once i got off my ass and changed the battery and cleaned all the dust out of the key it worked fine

ok i will try and explain it better
1 key fine
2 ive got no ignition ive set it up on switches starts fine
3 when i turn it of i the imobiliser kicks in
4 i cant start it unless i press unlock button again
5 so want to disconect imobiliser
this car is for on the farm im not spending money on it
and its not evan worth putting on the road
theres an issue here because if someone does say how to disable the immobiliser that leaves everyone hear to learn how to steal a car. i know thats not your intention (i hope) but its still a risky topic. not something to be discussed in a public forum i think
just my 2c
exactly why i invested $350 on an aftermarket alarm and immobiliser.
But agreed, i wouldnt bother with a farm car either
well if some one can tell me where the wire is to it then pm me and if some one is sooooo despriate to steal a car then they are a tool so yea and soildering key head to it what part and if i do that would i have to press unlock or would it stay ready to start all the time
Well it isn't really a stealing issue cos you already have the coded key for that car. You can't go to anyone elses car and just solder any key to it and drive away, if you have the key, you have the car with no soldering req'd.
No idea what wires they are, but they have to make it back to the ecu somehow and have to be connected to the ignition.
If you have set the switches up properly, you should just have to turn it on and then hit the starter and it should get the code by itself without the button being pressed.
ok will connect it tommorrow
i had to break of my ignition barrel as my key would not turn in ignition , after two hours i flipped and took screwdriver and hammer to it . i have being using the car this way for 1 year , untill yesterday when it stoped running , it will fire and then cut out , 1st lube mobile told me it was fuel pump / not so plenty of pressure at filter , second told me the key has to turn in the barrel as there is a magnet or some old bollocks , [ both a set of twats] anyway car is stuck other side of melbourne and i am stuffed , going to try holden next see if they can help but i very much dought it , p.s lubemobile macanics look to clean for my liking !!!!
