    Default my new VR

Hey guys i just got a VR Commodore cost me $3200, new tires new exhaust new radiator and 3 months rego

drives very well to boot :P

but with all second hand cars there are a few little things wrong with it

    1) the trip meter doesnt work
    2) roof lining comming loose at the back
    3) Gearbox lights dont work
    4) chip in the windscreen

now 2 and 4 i can deal with easily enough, but 1 and 3 ive got no idea can anyone lend a fellow commodore fan a hand and tell me how to fix these?

cheers for any and all help

well as for the trip meter, is it a digital trip computer or do you mean that your car isn't clocking up kilometers? if that is the case you will need to replace a cog in the cluster, check the HOWTO section, there is a good write up in there I think.

Now for the light, is it an auto? or do you mean some sort of shift light for a manual?

If it is an auto, remove your ashtray, lift the section that the ashtray was seated in, it will pop up, you will need to unplug the cigar lighter, now remove the section.

remove everything out of the way (for the shifter display) and get your screwdriver, undo the four screws securing the white shifter surround, lift it up and the bulb is easy to replace.
