Hey guys replaced my o2 sensors (See Pic old sensors)
But now i cant get rid of the errror code 13 which are 02 sensors i took out the ecu fuse but no luck please tell me how to correct this problem???
Thanks
I bet the top sensor is your RH sensor.
In one of your earlier threads I mentioned that your Code 13 may be related to an earthing problem many people experience with the heated O2 sensors in the VS (including myself).
Without a scantool to check the sensor, I suggest that you take your new RH sensor out and put the old LH sensor in its place, but cut the heater power wire on the sensor to disable the heating element (make sure the wire you cut corresponds to the pink wire on the engine side of the wiring loom). Then pull your engine fuse to reset the codes. If the code doesn't come back, you are getting current leakage from you heater circuit into your sensor circuit. There are a couple of threads on this that I put in your previous thread.
13 is no o2 sensor signal dissconnect the battery for half an hour and try checking codes again.sometimes turning the key on with the battery dissconnected helps clear the codes
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
13 is oxy sensor!
my car does not idel rough now and seems to be much better fuel wise i mean so why would i need to cut the pink wire??
i have no idea what you mean
I think I misunderstood your point. You are having trouble removing the code - I thought the car relogged the code after you replaced the sensor.
I am curious to why the O2 sensors fixed the rough idle - My understanding was that at idle, the ECU did not use the information from the O2 sensors (maybe I am wrong). Maybe the plugs were sooted up from the old sensors and a run on the new sensors burned it all off???
