Hey fellas,
Im looking @ getting my first car and having a few issues deciding on which to get! I really, really love the VS statesmans because they fall into my price bracket and have heaps of options + look great.
My questions is I heard that having dual fuel on the eco tech engines tends to screw up the motor though. Is this true? Can anyone with some knowledge shed some light on this issue cos this bad boy has really caught my eye:

Ive also been looking @ VTs if anyone has any other suggestions on which car to get!

Thanks in advance to anyone taking the time to read this!
Bump! Can anyone help me out?
those ecotech motors runs really good on gas, the only main problem they have with gas, is sometime they burnt valves (but that like over a few years or km's). For the money your going to spent, i would rather get a ve series 2 or 3 statesman as they look alot better
NEVER LATE IN A 355ci
i got a gas conversion on my vs executive 95 commodore..
talked to the main mechanic at the local holden shop a few months back, he reckons they found that the valves in the heads get eaten out after about 100k-150k and need replacing.
then talked to my uncle who is a mechanic and he talked to his supplier up in perth (i thought my heads were blown only turned out to be the gasket need replacing) and i was quoted new heads with better lines in them and lpg certified for just over $1000 if my memory is correct or a drip bottle setup for $100 which would just put a drop of oil in the heads here and there.
i was going to put the drip bottle on but havent got around to it yet. for the time being i just run the car on petrol occasionally.
but yea my car runs great on gas, the power loss is pretty much non existant it still goes very well and cheapgetting the same milage from a tank of gas as a tank of petrol (and no i don't have the liquid injected system) my gas tank fills up to about 71 litres (mandatory 80% mark)
Most v6 have problems with valves and guides burning out or sticking LPG is a dry fuel and burns somewhat hotter , a flash lube kit will help and correct tunning and set up of the gas system and regular servicing and oil changes correct heat range plugs and regapping works to . Choice of gas system is important dont just go with price alone ...
