    Default Ideas for my car...

I have a few ideas for my car but need some body kit referals.
Im thinking of maybe getting a bodykit off a VS clubsport? Can that just bang straight on or is there any changes I need to make?

Also wonna put CAI on my car but seems like the VS has a bad design for it.
Im sick of the little 100mm bit of pipe it has for induction.
I was thinking of somehow getting the pipe to the 2 little grills on the front for induction.
Reckon that could work or not?

    Other mods are:
2.5 inch hot dog from the cat back
    Extractors
    K & N panel filter (for better airflow )
    5% tint
    Lowered
    17 - 18 inch mags

I say ditch the kit, But I hate kits, With a passion. Get a OTRCAI, They are pretty affective.

Personally, if it's not a clubby, don't bung on a clubby kit, but that's just me.
A nice clean vs with decent mags and a little bit lowered looks really good imo. Not over the top, but just a little bit different.

    HAHA, my input,

    K & N panel filter (for better airflow )
Pretty much pointless just lets through a bit more dirt/dust to decrease engine lifespan.

2.5 inch hot dog from the cat back
Will bit quite loud and droney me thinks, but im not driving.

The stock VS Supercharged CAI? Check holdens, about $60.

Once again you can do it but youll regret it.

So no one likes the body kit idea? Ok then..

I cant have a supercharger on my car yet. (Stupid laws.)
So im gonna go with maybe a OTRCAI.
Hotdogs dont sound too bad I reckon. Got a better idea for an exhaust?

The supercharged 6 CAI works ok if you don't want to go to the effort of making one up like a few on here have. I'm pretty sure you will find the radiator is in the way if you were thinking of using those 2 little grills as snokles.

IMO the quieter a v6 is the better. Get a 2.5in exhaust with 2 mufflers, and it should breathe a little better without sounding too shit.

As far as the body-kit goes, if you like the look of them then go for it. It's your car so build it however you want. Just don't go claiming it to be something it's not

on the subject of cai's, immortality has found that the super6 cai suffers from significant headsoak at low speeds.

he has a big thread on ecotec development here.

    Ecotec development

    could be some help.

i've got a cat back 2.5 inch system with 1 muffler, and its pretty noisy outside the car, for me, its about as loud as i'd like an ecotec.

My mate has a hotdog on his VS ute and im loving the sound from it so yea...

With the CAI idea I was thinkin of putting maybe a hole in where the headlight bolts on and have a pipe from the airbox run to the grills on the front.

I could not agree more Kirbs!

Kits are terrible if you don't own the model that it's come from. Like some dropkick near where I live, has an SS kit that has been dropped on it's guts, the front bar is smashed because he drives it into gutters trying to park.

Wombles, just pick up the V6 Supercharged CAI, it's like 60 bucks, as someone already said, and it will be fine the sort of mods you have on it at the moment.

Alright... I'll just fix it up, replace a few panels and just keep it the same body... Just repair what needs repairing and replace whatever.
Make it look nice. : D
