Default VS Ute Bench Seat Conversion

Hi all, im not to sure if theres a thread already on this but i used search and tried a few different things and i couldnt find anything, but if there is point me in the right direction.

I was wanting to put a bench seat into my vs ute, and firstly was wondering if its to suit a manual, and what is involved with doing it.
Roughly any ideas on how much everything you need would cost and what things you actually need to do it. And how hard is it to do/ how do you do it?

    Thanks in Advance, Was

I dont think you're going to be able to bench seat convert a manual. I think I may be wrong but all the bench seated ones had a column shift auto?

Nope, there are quite a few bench seats that have 5 on the floor.

well that showed me, but that's obviously a converted one, and there isnt a whole lot of legroom with that centre thing there.

I think again you may be proved wrong again, thats exactly how a stock 5 speed ute looks with a bench seat.

yep thats exactly the same inside as my ute, which is a 3 seater with standard getrag box. it gets squeezy in the middle seat, but its a pretty comfy armrest.

you've gotta be pretty short, and one leg either side of the gearstick. i had a mate of mine in the middle seat once, was around 6 foot 1 or 2, and his knees were pretty much into the dashboard.

    he changed the gears too.

wow, no wonder they pissed the bench seat off then.

My ute was obviously converted to bucket seats from bench seats because it has a third lap sash seatbelt behind the centre console.

Thats mine and it aint converted Stock Bench seat.

Bench seat is awesome, not the roomiest, but possible for a 3rd person when you need one. My nephew sits in mine quite abit, not a problem but hes only 6. On long trips the Missus sits in the middle so she can sleep or cuddle into me. The bench seat is awesome, and no awkward centre console or handrake for the fun times

I am completely the opposite, i hate the idea, if i wanted an extra seat i would of got a sedan, that and the fact it looks ugly me thinks and the 3 seater handbrake is absolutely stupid.

the handbrake is exactly the same as the hq onwards utes/tonners i think. im not a huge fan of 3 seats, but hardly ever use it anyway.

Thanks for putting this pic up. I am quite impressed with how the bench seat looks in the vs, now just need to know what things i actually need to convert it and roughly how much im looking at to do it. (Ive got exactly the same seat covers in my ute at the moment, might have to look into getting a custom made one to suit if i put a bench seat in)
    Thanks Was
