    Default fuel gauge fluctuates??

I did a bit of a search but couldn't really find much similar so i started a new thread if theres another can a mod merge it? Anyway my fuel gauge on my 95 VS fluctuates when i go up and down hills or accelerate from intersections or to over take it drops by up to a 1/4of a tank but goes back up after a minute or so. Is this normal in the VS? im too used to my VT with the distance till empty, but the needle bouncing around is a pain in the arse when you get low on fuel at the end of the week

my gauge moves around a fair bit, but its not an issue. i just use the trip meter haha. the float on the fuel tank is at the rear left hand side of the tank, well it is in the utes anyway.

Its normal as far as I know. On sedans the float is at the front of the tank, so it will read lower when going up hills and higher when coming down hills. The gauge is basically a coil of wire that expands/contracts by heat controlled by resistance of the sender unit. In other words the gauge wont give instant readings to changes.

Nah I think most VS's do it. My old cluster did it, but I replaced that, new one still does it. It must just be the sensor in the tank. I'm not sure, it's no big deal really, just wait till your fuel light comes on until you start worrying.

Hahaha damn that must suck. Mine blew in my old cluster and I ran out of fuel right after!

Get one of those level 3 clusters from the Berlina or Calais, so good.

A quarter of a tank seems a little extreme. I am wondering if the swirlpot is damaged or has even broken off?
