Vr parts that will fit a VS

Hi,

Ive been offered a VR wagon for $100 and im just wondering what parts can i salvage for my VS aside from the obvious like interior panels doors bonnet etc.

I see VR and VS both use a 4L60-E gearbox, is it a straight swap? or is there some modifications that need to be made? would be good to have a spare box cause mines a bit sloppy.

What about Diff? This car is a VR wagon and i have a VS sedan.

Instrument cluster? they look the same from the front but is there any other differance to them?

Air Con compressor and any other air con parts?

Steering Rack?

To my knowledge the only differance between a VR and a VS is the engine and engine related parts like ECU, and bolt on engine accessories like Alternator and stuff.


Any tips on what i should salvage to save myself some $$$ down the road would be appreciated.

What about Diff? - The mountings for the springs and shocks are different amongst the wagon and seda, so no the diff will not fit.

Instrument cluster? - Pretty sure they're the same.

i would have thought the air con compressor is different, but im not sure. i hope its the same coz i found a vr to raid for bits too.

gearbox is different, vr is a 4hdd, the vs is 5 or 6hdd..... THEY DONT WORK.... INSRUMENT CLUSTER YES, most things between the two are different( wagon v sedan)the whole drive line exhaust rearseat, bumper..... sell it. I will buy it as I have a vr wagon!!!
