3 inch will just lose you torque. Just have the rear resi replaced with a much smaller hotdog resi.

3 inch will drone like a bitch , try different mufflers , offset or straight thru , glass pack steel wool , directed flow baffled or chambered , etc etc , many different combo's .

all the above is correct, also why would extractors depend on whether your going manual or not? They will add better exhaust flow whether its auto or man either way..

If it is a V6 wont it reduce exhaust velocity? I.E exhaust gasses will build up in such a large area and require more force to move them.

You dont really need to would you?
The gasket would be fine if you do it shortly after wouldnt it?
Just chuck extractors on, it will prob take you quite some time to do a conversion...

yeah I dunno what you're on about with auto extractors being different.

Dont know about the VS, but with the VN-VR the y-piece is different between the auto and manual models. So it wouldnt surprise me if they were like that on the VS too.

start with the rear resi its a cheap change consider a single in and twin pipe out . avoid the cheap and crappy cannon mufflers you see hanging the back of WRX'S look good but dont do sh#@ for performance
