hey guys,
ive got a vs ecotec with a 2.5 cat back atm.
but i was wanting to make it a bit louder?
like ive herd of people gogin 3inch and so on.
any advantages with that?
and i dont want to got with extractors yet casue im not sure if im goign to go manual conversion.
thanks sean
3 inch will just lose you torque. Just have the rear resi replaced with a much smaller hotdog resi.
3 inch will drone like a bitch , try different mufflers , offset or straight thru , glass pack steel wool , directed flow baffled or chambered , etc etc , many different combo's .
3 inch wont rob power if the ecm is retuned for the system ...
yeah thats what i thought but thoguth i woudl see what others opinions where.
whats any ones preferred option with the rear muffler?
for practability with not droning and not being overly loud??
becasue auto and manual extractors are differnt.
and i dont want to go buy them for auto then have to seel them again if i do a conversion
You dont really need to would you?
The gasket would be fine if you do it shortly after wouldnt it?
Just chuck extractors on, it will prob take you quite some time to do a conversion...
i bought my exttractors when my vs was auto and i converted it and it clears everything fine.
you could be right i just thought they were slighty different manual to auto
like slightly dif shapes and wouldnt fit.
but if there fine thats a bonus then.
worth changin the rear resi in anyones opinon or just go extractors??
also thanks for sortign otu that confusion!
start with the rear resi its a cheap change consider a single in and twin pipe out . avoid the cheap and crappy cannon mufflers you see hanging the back of WRX'S look good but dont do sh#@ for performance
