hey, i currently have an old bmw which has a VR engine in it, which is stuffed.
Im considering dropping a VX ecotec engine in, can i use the VR wiring loom/ecu?
are there any other issues to consider?
I did a search but couldnt find anyone who had done this

From what I've seen (and a bit of guesswork), when you buy a complete Ecotec engine - any model - you will normally get the wiring and the ECU from the car the engine came out of. A possible problem would be the transmission - if it's auto you will need the proper 4L60E to match the VX ECU....if the BMW is manual then you need the VX ECU for a manual car.
using a VN auto box...
Use another Buick engine, otherwise you'll need to change a lot of things.
You can make it work but it needs a lot of modification/stuffing around
what sort of stuffing around, care to elaborate?
