    Default fluctuating idle at highway speed

    whilst cruising at highway speed (100 km/h) with no accelerator pedal (idle) the engine revs from about 1100 to 1300 rpm up and down fast but stops when i get on the gas?? any ideas i was thinking the iac vavle?

    So you're travelling at like 100kmph, then you take your foot off the accelerator and it goes, "rev, rev, rev" as it slows down? If that's the case don't worry, both my VR and my friends do it.

    Dont quote me but i think it is a the lock up torque converter locking and unlocking
    Float like an elephant sting like a tree clubsport hits what doug does'nt see

    Mine does the same and I think it's as 'clubby you' says. I get the same thing when using cruise control going down a steep hill at >100kph when revs will drop from 1900 down to 1300 +/- 200 revs then when on the level again revs will instantly rise to 1900 (cruise still on)

    would make sense cause it stops when i put it in nuetral...

    My VN did this after i put in the S pack memcal, then i replaced the TPS and it stopped doin it. wired.
