the passenger side rocker on the buick also has the oil filler too doesn't it?

yes, vn s1-vr rocker covers will all fit the ecotec. (iblown has a set of s1 rockers on his ecotec, with the hole welded up. i know, coz i sold them to him)

they wont fit the l67 supercharged ecotec though.

dont forget to get vn s1 gaskets aswell, because theyre different to s2 onwards.

you can just use a blank grommet in the breather hole for the early rocker covers and poilish em up and they look mint.

the later VN-VR are the same as the ecotec ones. they just altered which head they put oil filler on. if you have a look at some ecotec covers you will see the drivers side cover even has the little tabs same as the VN-VR ones to mount the spark plug leads (on the passanger side)

I have a polished set of VN S1 covers on my VS, look sweet as.

I suggest using the VN S1 style gaskets because they seems to provide a better seal, and are easier to seat than the later ones

thats because the gaskets are different.

s1 gaskets are much thicker(and a different profile) than the s2 gaskets, and if you use s2 gaskets with s1 covers, chances are you're gonna have a smokey drive ahead of you.

you can easily tell the difference, cause S1 are metal and the S2 are plastic (i believe??) tapping them together the clearly make a metallic clang. and only S1 covers will have the hole for the oil breather thingo on the passenger side.

What you do is you paint strip them thoroughly, sand them back flat (casting dags) then machine polish
