Just a couple q's guys.
Is it worth upgrading the radiator to a triple core unit?
Is it worth replacing the thermostat with something aftermarket?
whats the ballpark figure?
How much should it cost to run a new set of fuel lines? Is there something you can use thats better then standard, but not outrageously more expensive?
thanks guys
My opinion only, but I'd fit a 3 row radiator only if I were towing a decent caravan and needed that extra cooling capacity - otherwise the standard unit performs good. However, if you want a better margin of safety re cooling, a 3 core is the way to go along with new hoses/clamps/coolant and heater tap.
Unless you current thermostat is playing up and/or you wish to fit a thermostat that opens earlier, there shouldn't be a need to change....plus you probably already have an aftermarket thermostat installed as the car is 15 years old.
Fuel lines in Commodores are sized more than adequate - the V6 runs the same lines as the V8 - the only time you would need better flowing fuel lines is if you are using more fuel.
