i rang holden to get a new crank angle sensor and they wanted $105.50 there are some on ebay for $52 but ive been warned of them because a few mechanics up here told me someone has been selling faulty ones on there and they've had to fix a fair few lately. I rang the wreckers and i can get one for $25 do you reckon one of these would be ok? i mean there is a chance its stuffed to but its $80 cheaper than holden and im already looking at $100 labour for the mech to put it in?
A friend of mine fitted a new cas -aftermarket.It didnt fix his problem,it made it worse. He took it to holden, they fitted another new cas -genuine,problem fixed. The aftermarket one was faulty. He should have just went genuine to start off with,it would have been cheaper in the long run. Also I wouldnt fit second hand sensors etc,its not worth the hassle, pay $100 to get it fitted, and then a week later if it stuffs up,you have to do it all again.
