Hi guys, as of today, my VR SS won't unluck with the remote. When I try to lock it, all doors lock except for the drivers door. Then when I try to unlock it, nothing happens. If I lock/unlock the doors from inside the car using the drivers door button, it all works fine. When I lock the doors with the remote, it activates the alarm, which is a Holden factory fitted alarm. So when I then open the drivers door (which won't lock), the alarm goes off. I don't think that the remote battery is flat, because it locks the doors everytime I manually unlock the doors with the drivers door button. Hope someone can help.
Maybe drivers side door solenoid is playing up try replacing it.

Yes I know, if you get anymore manly you are in danger of making yourself pregnant!
i had a similar problem with my VS acclaim but i read on another thread somewhere to put your key in the ignition (if you can) and turn it all the way without starting your. (all your dash lights should come on if you know what i mean). i left mine in the ignition for approx 30mins this morn and its as if it recognises your key again. weird i know but it worked for mehope that helps...
Does the key lock on the outside of the door still lock/unlock the car?....but from the sound of it, you need a replacement door latch which includes the solenoid. Wreckers are the cheapest.
The doors lock and unlock no worries with the key. The problem is with the remote locking/unlocking. When I last parked the car in the garage tonight, I didn't lock it. When I later opened the door, the alarm went off. Why would the alarm go off if I haven't locked the dam thing?
im having similar issues with my VR, bought it was doing fine, mate ripped his head unit out for when i picked it up on the way home had issues with the alarm and central locking. Got to a point where the remote doesnt do shit. checked out all the fuses etc managed to get the central locking working again (mostly back right door wont work) but only with the key, no remote functions.
no ideas at all
Fixed the problem today. It was the central locking actuator. The drivers door actuator is linked to the Body Control Module, whatever that is. That is why my alarm was being triggered, even though the car wasn't locked. The fella at Holden said if it was any of the other doors, it could be replaced with an aftermarket (cheaper) unit, but because it is linked to the BCM, it has to be genuine (expensive) Holden. $200 big ones and it's all good again.
geez thats a fair bit of effort
