    Hey Everyone.

Need to replace the VR Front Brakes Soon, Both Pads and Discs.
Any Recommendations for someone on a budget but also will spend a little more to get something better but not over board lol
Are Ferodo ZERO kits any good? Seems thats what Supercheap mainly Stocks.
I Am Suspect of these kits on eBay

Add postage and you're close to $150!. I fitted standard DBA's from SuperCheap @$65 ea and Bendix pads @ $43. I have found the Ferodo Zero pads to put out a lot of dust.....found the Bendix pads have better grip as well. DBA are factory standard so they are reliable.

    Hi mate,

Have a read through this thread:
    QFM Brake Pads

Performance Ferodo pads are quite good, but are NOT the ones disturbed by Federal Mogul that you can buy at Super Cheap and other automotive outlets (like Zero). They're rubbish, and there's alot better on the market.... entry level Ferodo distributed by Federal Mogul are no better than RDA or ATAP (Protex) generic brand pads. They fill a market of putting pads on the shelf as cheap as they can, and mechanics love them because they can pass on ridiculous markups to customers...

Bendix are a mixed bag. Some of their pads are quite good for their purpose (like GCT), other are rubbish (like Ultimate), but the across the board are all too expensive relative to other products in the market, which shoots what few good products they do have in the foot.

Our pick (and anyone who has tried them) is the locally (Gold Coast) made QFM pads. Far and away the best performance/dollar ratio. See the above thread and read the customer feedback.

Our recommendation for a better than OEM street pad is the QFM HPX. $79 per axle set front or rear. Standard front rotors are $46 each. All up would be $171 for HPX pads and std rotors.

    Regards,

I reckon you should do the VT upgrade.
Get VT brake calipers and discs. It's better brake power and just bolts on, ive heard..
