Default DIY Stage 2 Shift Kit? Bad idea or not?

So ive wanted to do some mods... and on a budget...

ive found this transgo stage 2 shift kit

    TransGo Hi-Performance Stage 2 Shift Kit for 4L60E (93-0N) [RK-4L60E-HD2] - $230.00 : Furious Performance, Online Performance Parts Store

Im just wondering is this something i can do myself? im pretty mechanically minded and i can follow a set of instructions. im just trying to cut down on costs cause mechanic are a joke and charge through the roof.

Has anyone else done there own shift kit? have any luck?

Any help would be muchly appreciated.

do you happen to have a link? i cant seem to find any videos.

also aside from the main kit they list these items

The following Parts may be required to complete this job

5 Liters or Automatic Transmission Fluid (Dexron 3).
    4L60E Transmission Filter.
Valve body plate or Plate Repair Kit.
    Valve Body Plate Filters.
    Accumulator Pistons (2nd, 3rd & FWD).
Solenoids (1-2 Shift, 2-3 Shift, 3-2 Shift, TCC & Pressure Control).
    Pressure Plate Switch.
Oring Kit (To suit Accumulators & Solenoids).

    are all these extras essential?

    cheers

    TransGo Videos

Was a good video but it seemed to be missing a few things, there was no mention of the corvette servo or anything.

This video mixed with paper instructions included in the kit should be enough to do the job, im pretty confident i can do it now.

Just need to find someone reliable that sells the transgo stage 2 shift kit.
