VR Executive Project

G'day guys,

Looking at purchasing a VR Execuitive next week and trying to get a list of ideas on what I can do to it, want to make it a bit of a project

At the moment I have:

• New Wheels (Probs VY ones)
• New speaker setup
• Neons
• Tint taillights
• Possibly a new headunit

What else do you guys reckon?

spend money on the engine and trans before cosmetic...otherwise ppl will just think your a ricer! footwell neons look cool and maybe as the interior light but definately not under car. buy some blue (white) globes for the headlights and parkers and also the number plate lights they look good.

Lower it, wheels, good cut and polish, debadge, good service, bright white headlights/parkers,

If you really wanna take it to extremes get a leather/calais interior

Yeah, please leave all the neons, altezza & clear lights, big exhaust tips & gay stickers to the ricer boys...so many people make their commodores look like a ricer in disguise it's not funny!

I'd go for a general tidy up, dump it, nice wheels, tinted windows...etc Makes some of the most boring rides look good.

Hahahahaha nah man that woujld be ridiculous, if I was gonna guy a big tacho, id want it to do what its deisgned for haha.

Cheers for the comments guys, yeah dad works as a tyre fitter so he's gonna hook me up with some sweet wheels and a new set of tires, ill get the windows tented as well and little bits and pieces.

New sound system will be the first major thing I want I reckon, atm it's all stock so yea.

PICKING THE COMMY UP TONITE

I did my sound system first, If I were to have my time again, I would of spent the money on exhaust, extractors, lowering, tinted windows, respray (to get rid of those nasty stone chips that always seem to appear)

I've dumped mine onto superlows, not too keen on the ultra lows as I like to see my rim :P. I def think that you should just make it look mint, no point going all ricer, I know too many people with a VR/VS and they went straight for the Tinted windows, sound system, F*%king stickers and flashy lights.. Whenever I see that I feel somewhat ashamed to be stuck in the same category as them.

Sound systems are easy and relatively cheap compared to the rest, get the exterior sounding and looking good, then save for a good system. If you get a half decent head unit and sub, you will be surprised at how well your stock speakers will perform, I'm saving for some nice splits at the moment, but I always have people asking me what speakers I am running, then they look at me in shock when I say stocks.

But it looks like a nice project all the best
